Returns and Refunds Policy
Last updated: 22 February 2026
This Returns and Refunds Policy explains how Tech Ferrets handles returns, refunds, cancellations, and part-related costs for services such as repairs, diagnostics, custom builds, upgrades, and custom water-cooling work. This policy does not limit your statutory rights under UK law.
Most Tech Ferrets work is a service delivered to your device. Once work has been completed, service fees are generally non-refundable, except where required by UK law or where we agree a refund is appropriate based on the circumstances.
If you cancel before work begins, we will refund any service payment already received, minus any non-refundable supplier fees that cannot be recovered and any parts that have already been ordered for you.
If work has started, labour charges apply for work already completed. We will confirm the position with you as clearly as possible.
- Deposits are non-refundable once parts have been ordered on your behalf.
- If parts have been ordered, you are responsible for their cost unless the supplier allows cancellation or returns.
- If a supplier accepts a return, any restocking fees, shipping fees, or payment processing fees charged by the supplier may be deducted from the amount refunded to you.
If a part we supplied is faulty, we will help with troubleshooting and warranty handling with the supplier or manufacturer. Where a replacement or refund is available through the supplier or manufacturer, we will support that process. Outcomes can depend on supplier or manufacturer decisions.
If you provide your own parts, we are not responsible for defects, incompatibility, or pre-existing faults. If the service cannot be completed due to customer-supplied part issues, labour charges may still apply for time already spent.
If there is an issue with workmanship, we will assess and, where appropriate, offer a remedy such as rework, adjustment, or other reasonable resolution. If a refund is appropriate, it will normally be processed back to the original payment method.
If shipping is used, outward and return shipping costs may be non-refundable once a label has been purchased or a courier has collected the parcel. Where a supplier refund is involved, shipping fees may be subject to the supplier’s rules.
